Update – Several club members completed their second century ride in 2 weeks on August 27th, 2011 by completing a loop around Big Stone Lake and Lake Traverse for a total of 113 miles! Some riders completed the loop around Big Stone Lake while others chose to loop around Lake Traverse in the afternoon. The ride was enjoyed by all. The ride for 2012 is scheduled for July 14th and 15th with cyclists camping overnight on Big Stone Lake so plan to bring your camper, tent, kayak, etc. Plan to ride one or both days in 2012.

July 14th & 15, 2012 – WBC plans to make this a two day event in 2012. Camp and Bicycle around Big Stone & Traverse Lakes. Drive from Watertown to Browns Valley takes about 70 minutes on the interstate.
Route: Go around Big Stone Lake Route – 72 miles then camp overnight at Hartford State Beach and ride around Lake Traverse the next day – 41 miles! The route is very, very pretty and follows designated “scenic highways”. The route is mostly flat with a few decent hills (“scenic” is bicycle code for hills).
